Welcome to Real Talk With Reginald D

I'm your host, Reginald D.

On today's episode, I'm going to talk about no alternative.

The word alternative.

Alternative means having more than one thing available.

Alternative means another option.

But we must realize that using an alternative can also make you fall short of what you're trying to accomplish.

See, I don't give myself alternatives when it comes to my dreams and goals.

I'm not going to settle for less because at the end of the day, less is not going to get me what I want and what I desire.

I need you to understand that there is a price on achieving what you desire.

And that's what people fail to realize.

They see what they desire and they start to pursue it.

Then all of a sudden, that price tag hit them and they say, whoa,

I wasn't ready for this.

You got to realize anything worth having or anything that's going to change your life is going to come with the price.

And the price is not related to money.

The price is the amount of your life that you're willing to give up in exchange for what you desire.

You're saying you want this, you're saying you want that,

but how much of you are you going to give up in order to achieve it?

It's all about sacrifice and not selfishness.

You got to sacrifice you to achieve your dreams.

When you're selfish, you become like ordinary people.

You don't want to sacrifice watching tv. You don't want to sacrifice landing the bed, sleeping all day.

You don't want to sacrifice looking at social media while you're being selfish and doing all those things in life. Your dreams are in your future, waving and saying, here I am.

I'm waiting on you.

You will never accomplish your dreams if you keep giving yourself alternatives.

You know how to accomplish your dreams.

This is how you do it.

It's called pursuit.

You have to go after it with everything you got.

When you are chasing something, you are locked in on what you're trying to catch.

You don't take your eyes off of it.

But if you're running from something, you are not locked in on it because it's behind you.

What am I saying?

Start chasing your future and stay locked in on it.

And quit running from your past.

Your past is behind you,

and the harder you run and chase your dreams, the further your past will be behind you.

So your past has made you doubt yourself because you have failed more than one time when trying to pursue what you desire.

So you got to understand that life is like a football game.

You got to play four chords you may have messed up the first two quarters of your life,

but guess what? You have two more quarters to play.

You got the third and the fourth quarter left.

You got to make the best of them and give yourself no alternative but to win.

That's it, man.

I need you to understand that in this moment you are free.

Free to go out to your dreams.

Free to be who you want to be.

You just can't give yourself alternatives or you will end up being what you wasn't supposed to be.

If you want to be a doctor,

you're going to have to take courses in med school to become a doctor.

You don't have another alternative.

You can't say these classes are too hard. And now I want to take criminal justice classes but still want to be a doctor.

No,

you're going to end up being a police officer,

which I don't have anything against. None of those careers.

But the fact that you gave yourself an alternative,

it got you off track to what you really desire.

It's time for you to be a different you.

The different you will be. The difference in your life.

You got to be different.

You need to do what other people are not doing.

If you don't, you're going to be just like everybody else.

When in all reality, you were chosen to be great.

I need to keep driving this in your head.

There is no alternative but to be great.

There's no alternative but to achieve your dreams.

There is no alternative but to win in life.

No matter how much people have counted you out.

No matter how many times you count your own self out.

You owe it to yourself to go back and win again.

Quit shutting the door on yourself just because you're afraid to look within yourself.

Because within you is everything you need to pull it off.

Let me ask you a question.

Why are you breathing?

I know you got the breed to stay alive, but you got to breathe success.

You got to breathe victory. You got to breathe everything that you desire.

Ask yourself, why am I breathing?

You're still breathing because there's more purpose inside of you.

There is more for your life.

That's why you're still here.

Then ask yourself,

what am I breathing?

Are you breathing power or are you breathing weakness into your life?

Are you breathing purpose or are you breathing curses.

Are you breathing the thing that's going to set you back?

I need you to know that you have no alternative but to breathe. Breathe in the thing that's going to make your life great.

Get up and get back to yourself and quit being caught up in the noise.

I need you to understand that you are not a one hit wonder.

You were called to be great throughout the rest of your life.

It's time for you to reveal that you are more than a dreamer.

You are the dream.

You are worth so much more.

You got so much left to do.

Bring it out.

Don't fail you because you were too lazy to do you.

I had somebody one time tell me that they don't find life is worth living.

And my comeback to him was you make it worth living.

No alternative.

If you got to restore it, then restore it.

If you got to rebuild it, then rebuild it.

There is no alternative but to make your life worth something.

Let me be clear.

Life is full of alternatives,

but not for you.

There is no other alternative but for you to live a life of purpose and achieve your dreams and desires.

You don't have a choice.

If you give yourself no choice,

then you just gave yourself a chance.

Your dreams should have no alternatives.

Your dream should be your reason for your existence.

You were given the purpose that's inside of you because God knew you were strong enough to live it out.

There are two things that's going to define you.

And that's the way you grind when you had nothing and the attitude when you finally achieve everything.

Let me tell you this about success.

Success is what your mind and body demands.

It's up to you to give it to them.

Now. I didn't say give it to them or not.

That's giving you an alternative which you don't have.

So you must give your mind and body what it demands, which is success.

Striving to live your best life is something that everybody should try.

Will it be easy? No.

Will it be worth it and pay off?

You darn right all day.

Listen to me.

It's time for you to be the person that starts winning again.

It's time for you to be the person that's motivated again.

What motivates you will compensate you one way or another.

Stop fighting yourself and start motivating yourself.

It's time for you to do something greater than you have already done.

No alternative.

Quit doing the things that you have mastered.

You will never continue to grow by doing that.

What you do today will determine how much success you will have tomorrow.

The one thing that you're going to be better than anybody else is to be who you're supposed to be in this life.

Let me be honest with you.

The old you got to go and the new you got to shine.

No alternative.

Write the ou a letter and say something like dear old me today I am motivated again because my life is finally going to be better without you.

Bye.

Take care or whatever you want to put at the end of the letter.

You get what I'm saying?

It's time for you to start living, man.

No alternative.

I know you're saying I didn't choose this life that I got,

and you may be right,

but you can choose the way you live it and the way you want it to end up.

There's no substitute for hard work.

No alternative.

You either work hard and achieve or work less and never get.

But you're still working. When it's all said and done,

I'm going to leave you with this.

You may have been set back in life and feel like an underdog coming from behind,

but you can catch up.

You can still achieve what you desire.

It just depends on what you're going to spend the rest of your life doing.

The only moment that matters is right here,

right now.

Believe in yourself and all that you are.

Good things are coming.

You are your greatest weapon. You are your greatest wealth.

And it all starts within your mind.
