Real Talk With Reginald D - Merchandise
Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D.
Today I want to set aside the noise, the hustle, and the chaos of the world and take a moment to honor someone who deserves more credit than this world could ever give.
Today is for the mothers,
This episode is a tribute to the choir strength, the long nights, the selfless love, and the unwavering faith of every moment. Mother, Grandmother, godmother, stepmom, and a mother figure out there.
If you're a mother,
this one's for you.
Let's be real.
Nobody sacrifices more than a mother.
Nobody carries more in silence. And nobody loves harder, prays stronger, or fights deeper than a mother.
From the very beginning, you wrote a heartbeat before we even had one.
You were the calming the storm before we ever faced our first real fears.
You've held us when we were broken and believed in us when we gave up on ourselves and loved us through the mess we didn't even know we were making.
And sometimes you did it all without a thank you, without a break,
without being seen.
You cooked when you retired.
You went to work when you had nothing left to give.
You smiled when your heart was breaking.
You showed up even when nobody showed up for you.
You see the world, sees the strength of a man and calls it power.
But the strength of a mother,
that's a different kind of power.
It's not loud,
it's not boastful,
but it's unshakable.
A mother's love isn't about being perfect. It's about being present.
And Lord knows you were present for the scraped knees,
the heartbreaks, the moments we didn't even know we needed saving.
The school projects you finished at midnight because we forgot.
The tears you wiped before we even knew we were crying.
The prayers you whispered when we were too young to understand we needed them.
The late night runs when we were sick, scared, or just needed to talk.
The sacrifices you never mentioned,
but we felt them anyway.
The smiles you gave when your world was falling apart.
The strength you showed when all you had left was faith.
You were a superhero even when your cape was wrinkled and your soul was worn out.
So today,
I don't just want to say, happy Mother's Day.
I want to say, we see you,
we honor you.
We remember every prayer you whispered,
every meal you made out of nothing.
Every time you stayed, when life gave you every reason to walk away,
every time you healed us when we were sick.
Some of you mothers out there, you raised children while carrying heartbreak no one saw.
You held the house down while healing from Wounds nobody knew existed.
You buried your dreams, so we chased ours.
And I'm just here to say we don't take that lightly.
You may feel forgotten, sometimes overlooked, used up,
but let me tell you, right now,
heaven is keeping score.
God saw every sacrifice,
and your love had planted seeds that generations will grow from now to the single moms. You carried double,
and yet you gave triple.
You taught us how to stand when everything inside of you was breaking.
And I pray someone pours into you the way you poured into everyone else.
To the grandmothers, you were the blueprint. You laid the foundation when the house was falling apart.
And your prayers,
they're still working long after you whispered them to the bonus moms, the stepmoms, the godmothers.
You chose to love.
You chose to give.
And that makes you the real one.
And it makes you a special one.
To the mothers we've lost.
You may not be here physically, but your voice,
your scent, your warmth,
your wisdom,
they are stitched into every fiber of our lives.
And today, we honor you, too, with tears in our eyes and loving our hearts.
If you're a mother listening right now,
I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for what you've given.
Thank you for what you've endured.
Thank you. Thank you for showing us what love looks like when it hurts.
Thank you for being the miracle we didn't know we needed.
If your child has never said it,
if the world has never told you,
let me be the one to say.
You are the heartbeat of heaven, walking in human form.
You are proof that God still trusts us with angels.
You are not forgotten.
You are not invisible.
You are not done.
So today, I challenge you.
If your mother is still here,
call her.
Text her show up.
Let her know her love didn't go unnoticed.
And if she's gone,
do something in her honor.
Live a little louder,
love a little deeper. And walk a little taller.
Because she made you who you are.
To every mother listening,
this is your day.
But honestly,
every day is your day.
We love you.
We thank you.
We see you,
thank you for your strength,
your sacrifice, and your love.
Happy Mother's Day.
And to the rest of us,
let's carry that love forward.
Until next time, Stay real,
stay strong,
and keep becoming the person that God will be proud of.
Happy Mother's Day.
