Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D. On today's episode, I'm going to talk about this is not it. Do you know one of the most powerful things that you possess is your decisions? The decisions you make will determine how your life is going to turn out. A lot of people tend to stay in these low places because they accept it. Their passion is gone, and they can't seem to walk in their purpose. Listen, it doesn't matter what you're going through right now. You got to say to yourself that God has a plan and a better life for me, and this is not it. Every struggle, every heartache that you are enduring, I need you to tell yourself, this is not it. This is not the life I'm supposed to live. See, once you come to grips that this is not it about your life, then you can change it. You may be living in poverty right now. You may be living paycheck to paycheck, but you got to keep telling yourself that this is not it. This is not how I'm supposed to live. I need you to understand that the worst thing you can do is to accept the place that you're in. Never say this is it for my life. This is just the way it's going to be. Once you accept it, then now you own it. You have to get yourself out of the less than mentality. Stop talking yourself out of what you desire for your life. Keeping a low self-esteem is not the way you're supposed to be. You're made to flourish. and be known as greatness. Let me be honest with you, fam. I've been through so much in my life to the point I shouldn't even be here. God's grace and mercy covered me, but I also had to come to grips with my moment. And I told myself that I don't know what God has for my life, but I know that this is not it. I started focusing on what was going right instead of what was going wrong. Then my life began to change. I need you to understand that this is not it for your life. It's time for you to rise up and begin living. Being down in the dirt is not it. That's not where you're supposed to be. That's not it, man. Trust me. Your life is in a vicious cycle right now because you don't believe that you can do better or deserve better. It's time for you to start dreaming again. I need you to try again because where you are right now, this is not it. You owe yourself commitment and get those negative voices out of your head that's telling you that this is it. I dare you to be consistent with what you want for your life. Consistency will bring lasting change. I need you to know that what you're doing right now is not it. This is not it. This is not what God has for your life. You got to realize your power. Once you realize your power, then you can empower. Let me ask you a question. Have you noticed any progress in your life? If you don't notice any progress, then you're definitely not doing what you're supposed to be doing, whatever you're doing. It's not it. One definition of progress is to move forward towards something or a destination. We also got to look at it like this. Making progress can also mean that you're not doing enough. You got to get to the point where you don't notice your progress. You're always raising the ball. I need you to remember that success is always connected to motion. Ask yourself this question. Ask yourself, what am I pursuing right now? And is what I'm pursuing going to change my life for the better? If it's not going to change your life for the better, then that is not it. Stop wasting your valuable time. God is trying to give you a life that you deserve, but you keep playing around with the things that's not it for your life. A lot of people are on the struggle bus because they are playing when it comes to their life instead of conducting their business. When are you going to realize that what you're doing is not it for your life? When are you going to realize that what you're doing is not working? You know, I've seen people stay in relationships knowing it's not working, knowing this is not it, but they stay in it anyway. Why put yourself through that? Why make yourself miserable? I need you to say to yourself, this is not it. You are more than capable of rising above the situation that you're in. You just got to quit accepting the place that you're in and say, this is not it. This is not the way it's supposed to be. Have you ever heard the phrase, you'll never know until you try? See, I never knew that I could achieve some of the successes I've had coming from where I came from. Growing up poor in a single parent house, my father wasn't in my life. Some of my family members were telling me that I wouldn't amount to anything because I was born out of wedlock. I had to get a job at 13 years old to try to help my mom pay the bills, and we still couldn't make ends meet sometimes. But after everything I've been through, with all the odds stacked against me, there was one thing I didn't stop doing, and that was trying. I never stopped trying. I didn't accept that this is it for my life. You got to keep trying, man. You got to rise above every situation that's trying to come against you. Isaiah 59 chapter 19 verse says, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. See, God has your back. If you give up right now, then shame on you. If you accept mediocrity for your life right now, then shame on you because this is not it for you. You are fooling yourself. You're sitting around thinking that you are not good enough, but in all reality, you haven't done enough. You are too busy wasting time trying to please everybody else and not doing what it takes for your life to be where it should. You can't let people distract you. I need you to understand, sometimes you got to listen, smile, and agree, and then end up doing what you want to do anyway. It's time for you to awaken your mind and go for yours. I need you to understand that this is not it for your life. This is not it, man. There's no way you should accept living beneath who you really are. I need you to understand that sometimes you have to fight through some tough times in order to earn the best times of your life. It's time for you to start living and stop just existing. There's people close to you that's counting on you. There's people that believe in you. I believe in you. But if you ever feel like nobody believes in you, then you got to keep believing in yourself. The level of success that you attain comes from what you believe. If you begin to think it's impossible, if you think it's risky, if you think it's useless and pointless, then try it. You'll be surprised. Failure has to be an unknown word to you. I need you to declare that on this day, I will start becoming what I should have been a long time ago. And know that the place you're in right now is not it. You have worn out your welcome. It's time for you to get up and go. You are not supposed to stay here. Sometimes you got to kick your own self out. No more drowning in your tears. No more feeling sorry for yourself. There is a life of abundance that's waiting on you. You are looking at your life and thinking that it's crazy. Your life is not crazy. Just the people that's in it are crazy. You are all right. You just got to quit accepting the place that you're in right now. I'm going to leave you with this. I need you to walk away knowing that what you are doing and the place you're in right now is not it. And this is not where you're supposed to be. This is simply not it. There is more and you must want more. It's tough to wait around for something that might not happen, but it's even tougher to give up when you know it's everything you want.
