Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D. On today's episode, I'm going to talk about the importance of maintaining your power. Let's go. Everything you do and everything you achieve comes from within. Every accomplishment that you have done or will have comes from the thing that's inside of you, which is your power. I need you to understand. that the power you possess has to be ignited in order for it to be effective in your life. It has to be tapped into. Your power comes first from taking responsibility for your life. What you do for yourself or with yourself will either take away your power or add to your power. The amount of power you are going to have will depend on the expectations that you have for your life. What kind of standard are you setting for your life? You got to understand that you got to raise your standards if you want to maintain your power. One thing that irritates me the most is seeing someone set a standard beneath where they could actually go. I remember this coach of this football team. He was saying that when he was hired to coach years ago, that he didn't care about bowl games or things like that. He said all he cares about is beating this one team that was their main rivalry. He's not worrying about playoffs or championships. He just want to make sure that he beats this one team every year. Now, to be honest with you, if that was my football team, he wouldn't be my coach. He wouldn't be coaching my team because I have to have somebody with a, I want it all mentality. And as a leader or a coach, if you don't have that, I want it all mentality, then you will never get it all. And now you will also have everybody thinking that it's okay to be mediocre. There's a power that you possess that can't be complimented or compromised with mediocrity. You have to master the power within. That's what's going to get you to the level you want to be in your life. There is so much when walking in your power. You will start feeling this thing about you that some people will say that you're arrogant. But in all reality, you are confident because you are walking in your true power, which is having faith in yourself. and believing that you can accomplish your dreams and desires. Let me ask you this. When are you going to start empowering yourself and quit empowering other people? How long are you going to work on a job making everybody else money and empowering everybody else? With the power you have inside of you and the gifts you possess is all you need to change your life. Do you ever sit and think that you can do and be more than you are? You don't have to live paycheck to paycheck. There is a power inside of you that will change your life if you pull from it. You are worth so much more than living paycheck to paycheck. The gift that God has given you is worth more than that. Stop giving up on your power and start maintaining your power by pursuing your dreams and desires. Now I'm going to tell you how to ignite your power. First, you've got to have a goal or something that you are trying to achieve. You got to know what you want for your life. Then you have to put a price on your dreams and goals. How much money do you want to start out making from your dreams? How much money do you want to start out making doing it your way? If it's a million dollars, then you got to ask yourself, what do I need to do for my dreams and desires to make a million dollars for me? Now, it doesn't have to be a million dollars. It could be $10,000, $1,000, or $500. Make it reasonable starting out. But once you start achieving it, then your worth is going to kick in and your power is going to give you the strength to get more for your life. You just got to put a value to what you want for your life. Wanting something is one thing, but putting the value on it is another. It becomes more enticing and more worth it. You will never know how much something is worth until you put a value on it. I need you to recalibrate your self-worth. Do not allow it to be determined on how you feel about yourself right now. Let it be based on the power, the gifts, and the abilities that's within you. In maintaining your power, you have to have a healthy relationship with yourself. One of the things you can't do is let yourself off the hook when it comes to achieving what you desire for your life. You will be just giving away your power. Sometimes you've got to put in more when you're trying to accomplish what you want for your life. Sometimes there are going to be moments where you have to let the fun go and let the grind begin. Don't limit your power. Challenge your power. See what it can do when you unleash it. Let me ask you a question. When you're going to get tired of walking around feeling powerless, you should be tired of it by now. You are not maintaining your power, you are limiting your power. No situation can take your power away. God gave you that from the foundations of the earth. The day you were born is the day you received your power that came from him. Therefore, nobody can take it away from you, but they can limit it if you allow them to. Give your dreams and desires everything you got. You will be surprised of the power that will come out of you. You just gotta give it all you got. That's it, man. Much is given, much is required. Bottom line. I need you to put your fears aside. You got everything it's going to take to achieve what you want for your life. Don't look at your current situation. Don't look at your bank account. Look at where you want it to go. Don't allow your current situation to bring on fear and have you thinking that you can't achieve what you desire for your life. Listen, the current situation that you're in doesn't fit you. That's why you don't want to stay in it. So don't let it fear you. Let your power overtake you and go get what you really want for your life. Sometimes I think that simplicity is the best thing that could happen in life. I remember somebody was talking about what they make on their job and it still couldn't make ends meet. I told him to stop focusing on what he made and start focusing on how much he can keep. Because if you focus on how much you can keep, it will make you make some lifestyle changes. You won't splurge and you will pay more attention to the money you make. See, sometimes you just got to change your way of thinking. See, once I put that to him that way, everything was fine. He started paying more attention to what he was doing with his money and wasn't going out, splurging and things like that. I need you to understand that the power in you is a precious thing that you have because it comes from God. I talked about fear earlier. I need you to know that fear is the one thing that will limit your power and make you ineffective. Fear is your kryptonite because it doesn't line up with what the scripture says. 2 Timothy 1.7 says, For God hath not given us a spirit of fear. but of power and of love and a sound mind. See, fear is a spirit. He's just said it in the scripture. It's not given by God. It comes from somewhere else that's not of God or from God. So therefore it shouldn't be overtaken and stopping you from your dreams and goals. You will never know what you can achieve unless you're crazy enough and have the courage to start. Sometimes you just have to be crazy enough. Being crazy enough means simply going against the grain, doing what you desire for your life, even though everybody says you can't. Be crazy enough to believe in you. When everybody else doubts you, you tell them that they can doubt you, but they better not doubt your power, because your power is a whole different thing. I'm going to leave you with this. You're at the point in your life where you can't worry about what people think. Listen and do what you want. This is your light and you and only you can live it. Maintain that power that's within you. Do some type of ritual to make that power raise up inside of you each morning when you get up. Stay confident knowing that there is a power within you that would allow and help you accomplish your dreams and desires. You just got to unleash it. Unleash your power.
