Real Talk With Reginald D - Merchandise

Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D. On today's episode, I'm going to talk about from the dirt to your dreams. Let's go. Being in a place of being down and out is a very difficult place to be. Being down in the dirt is a very challenging spot to be in. When you're down, it don't only bring you down mentally, but it also brings down your self-esteem. When you're down in the dirt, it will make you start questioning who you are. It will make you question your existence on earth. Being down in the dirt will make you question if you really have a purpose in this life or not. And the more you try to get out of the dirt, the deeper in the dirt you end up. The toughest thing that you're facing is trying to get from down in the dirt so you can get to your dreams. You're in a place that you feel like this is it for you. But I'm here to tell you that it's not. Being down in the dirt is part of the process when it comes to achieving your dreams. Being down in the dirt is the foundation to your success. You've got to understand that being down in the dirt is where you find yourself. Being down in the dirt is really going to show you what you're made of. And one of the things it's going to show you is can you function at your lowest level in life? When down in the dirt, can you still realize how great you are? Can you function properly when pressure comes into your life? Or will your allow being down in the dirt distract you from rising up out of the dirt. I get that part that life is tough, and sometimes you feel like you can't make it. But I need you to realize that you have the tools to succeed. The problem you have is that you are distracted by what's happening in your life instead of focusing on what could happen. You are distracted by where you are instead of focusing on where you're trying to go. Let me ask you this. Where are you trying to go in life? Once you know that, Then why are you tripping because you're down in the dirt? Like I told you earlier, being down in the dirt is where you find yourself. That's it. That's the only reason you are there. Because if you know what you want for your life, why stand in a place where it's not? That doesn't make sense. Think about it. Why stand in a place that you don't want for your life? Why dwell in a place where your dreams are not? It comes a time where you got to come up out of the dirt. You can't stay there. It's time for you to win. The people that win think they can first. It's never about your situation. It's all about what's within. It's all about how you're built. You won't know what you're capable of until you do it. I need you to get up out of the dirt and start moving your life forward. Put your life on a solid foundation. A lot of people stay down in life because they keep filling their holes with dirt. If you put dirt in a hole, the rain will eventually wash the dirt away, and there's a hole again. But if you fill the hole with rock, the water will flow over and around the rock, but won't remove the rock from the hole. Stop filling yourself with dirt. Don't be the dirt, but be the rock in your life. You got to understand that something should be non-negotiable in your life. Let me ask you this. What will you not tolerate in your life? What you tolerate will show you and expose who you really are. I had to learn that years ago. Before my life started flourishing, I had to quit tolerating some things. So you got to realize that you got to have that I want what I want mentality in order to get what you want. Some people tell me that I'm strong minded at times, but some things I won't have any other way. It's non-negotiable because it's my life, my dreams, and I know where I'm headed. I've been down in the dirt before. I know what it takes to get back up. I've been down in the dirt more than one time in my life, so I don't worry about things like that. I've been there and done that. I've seen it before. Don't lose yourself because you're down in the dirt. You've been there before, or you've been there long enough. You know what to do. Stop crying and rise up. This is your fight. This is your dreams that's on the line. Your destiny is on the line. You got to get up and fight for it, man. It's non-negotiable. Sometimes you just don't have a choice but to give it your all. That's the promise to success. Do you know who you choose to be? Is a promise of what you will be? People get things mixed up. It's not about where you start in life. It's all about how you see your life. You may be at the bottom right now. But what do you see while you're at the bottom? Do you vision yourself being there? Or do you vision yourself coming out of it? What you see for your life is where you're going to end up over 90% of the time. See, it really doesn't matter what's going on if your vision is in the right place. Like I mentioned earlier, I've been down in the dirt more than one time, straight up poor. So this is where I'm at in life. If I lose my house, the cars, and the money that's in the bank, it is what it is. But one thing I'm not going to lose is my wife. You can take everything, but you can't take her. I'm about to buy a tent for us and figure out how to keep her warm and feed her. But I guarantee you this, we won't be in that tent for long because I'm going to figure out how to get back what we lost and then some. That's the way it's going to go. So you too busy worrying about the cost of life, just pay the price. and get the life you want. It's going to take the price of the grind. It's going to take the price of discipline. You're too worried about what's going on in your life that you don't understand that your life is trying to teach you something that you don't know yet. You need to create a life that you can fall in love with. I need you to understand that it doesn't matter what you lost. It's all about what you gain. You need to go take back everything you lost and then some. It's not meant for you to stay down in the dirt. Being down in the dirt should only be for a moment, not an eternity. You can't stay there if you want to achieve your dreams. Your life is designed for you to live it with purpose and integrity. It's time for you to live your life by your own code. Let me ask you a question. How did you become you? How did you become the person you are? Let me say it again. How did you become the person you are, good or bad? You have become the person you are because of what you think about yourself. The biggest battle in a person's life comes from within. You're not where you want to be in your life because you don't feel like you can achieve it. You're allowing yourself to stay down in the dirt because you feel like you can't achieve your dreams. You're stuck being ordinary and not extraordinary. Ordinary people run from challenges. They want everything to be even-keeled. They can't handle difficulty. That's why they stay average in life. Let me ask you this. Why do you keep being average? Being average hasn't gotten you anywhere. You are still stuck in the same place because you're allowing yourself to be average. You were meant to be extraordinary. That's who you really are. Extraordinary people don't run from challenges. They overcome challenges. They don't run from difficulty. They embrace it. They don't run from the battle. They run to the battle and conquer it. That's who you are meant to be. The only way you're going to get to what you want for your life, you got to go through the battle. That's the only way. You ain't got nowhere else to go. You are already down in the dirt, so you might as well fight your way out of it. In order for you to be free, you got to get up. You can't stay there. You were meant to be extraordinary. You are meant to do great things. You wasn't meant to stay down in the dirt. You were meant to be free to achieve your dreams for your life. Every day is not going to be perfect. There are going to be some rainy days, but don't let your rainy days distract you or set you back. When rainy days come, go out and play in the puddles. Make the best out of it. You have to commit your whole heart into winning each day. You can't live in doubt. You got to believe that you can and don't think any other way. No matter how tough it gets, still believe that you can overcome it. Raise your standards and quit talking about what you should do. and start talking about what you must do. Should gives you an excuse. Must gives you no option. You have to change the things that's limiting you. And when you find it, you got to be willing to destroy it if you want the life that you dream about. In order for things to be different, you got to be a different you. That's it, man. If you want to get from down in the dirt and start winning, you must be clear about the areas of your life that matters the most to you. Because what matters to you is what you're going to focus on. In order for you to get the life you want, you've got to get rid of everything you don't want. It's amazing to me that people hold on to stuff that they don't want or need. You know good and well you have things in your life that's hindering you from your dreams. But you don't have sense enough to let it go. Even if it leaves on its own, you will go back and get it knowing that you don't need it in your life. That's how you stay down in the dirt instead of achieving your dreams. I'm going to leave you with this. Just because you're down in the dirt doesn't mean you're dirt. Being down in the dirt is just the process to achieving your dreams. Nothing about you is dirt. Everything about you is greatness. You just got to convince yourself that you are worth it. Get up. Get up from the dirt. You got a dream to pursue. Thanks for tuning in to Real Talk with Reginald D.
