The question is, Regina D, I feel so alone in this world and that no one has my back or anything. That's deep. That's real. And I know there are so many of you listening right now who have felt or are feeling exactly like this. We're going to take the next 10 minutes to unpack what it means to feel alone. what to do when you're in that place, and how to find your strength even when you feel like no one has your back. And of course, I'm going to leave you with a challenge for the week ahead, because this is not just about hearing something. This is about taking action in your life. All right? Let's get into it. Let me start about saying this. If you're feeling alone, if you're feeling like no one has your back, that is a real and heavy feeling. I'm not here to sugarcoat it. Loneliness is tough, and it can weigh on your heart, your spirit, and your mind. But let me tell you something, you are not alone. Even though it might feel like it right now, there are people who really care about you. And more importantly, God's got you, even when it feels like no one else does. Now, I've been there. I know what it's like to feel isolated, like no one truly understands what you're going through. When I was younger, I felt that deeply. I was told by some of my family members that I wouldn't amount to anything. Imagine being told by people who are supposed to love you that you're not worth much just because you were born out of wedlock. It actually left me feeling a little disconnected and isolated. I didn't feel like those family members had my back either. I remember feeling like I had to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, but I didn't even have the strength to lift it. It was crushing. So family, I'm not speaking to you from a place of theory or speaking from experience. I know what that pit of loneliness feels like, but I also know that you don't have to stay there. The first thing I will say to you is this. It's okay to feel how you feel. We've got to stop pretending like feeling lonely is something we should just hide or be ashamed of. I want to give you permission today to be real with yourself. Feeling alone doesn't mean you're weak. It doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you. It just means you're human. A lot of times we try to push down those feelings of loneliness because we don't want to seem vulnerable or weak. But the more you suppress those feelings, the heavier they get. It's like trying to hold a beach ball underwater. The longer you try to keep it down, the more pressure builds until eventually it pops up with the force. So the first thing we got to do is acknowledge where we are. Maybe you're in a place where you've lost someone. Maybe it's a breakup, or maybe it's someone closely you passed away. Or maybe it's not even about losing someone physically. It could be emotionally distance. You could be surrounded by people and still feel lonely because you feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. That's real, and you have to be honest with yourself about where you are at before you can start moving forward. So take a moment, think about what's been weighing on you. Say it out loud if you need to. I feel alone. There's power in acknowledging truth. And once you've spoken the truth, now we can start working on what's next. Here's what I want to tell you next. You are never, and I mean never, truly alone. It may feel like the world has forgotten about you, but I promise you, God has not. God is with you in every moment of your pain, your loneliness, and your fear. He's got your back, even when you feel like no one else does. Now, I know some of you might be thinking, Reginald D., that's great and all, but I don't feel it. And trust me, I get it. You are deep in that feeling of loneliness. It's hard to see or feel God's presence. But faith isn't about feelings. It's about knowing. It's about trusting that even when it feels like no one else there, God's arms are around you and holding you up. One of my favorite scriptures is Psalms 34 chapter 18 verse. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. That's you. So if you're feeling brokenhearted right now, God is close to you. And sometimes it's in our lonely moments that we actually become most aware of his presence. I'll be real with you. There were times in my life when I thought God had forgotten about me. I was ready to give up, and I didn't see my way out. But those were moments when God showed up in ways I couldn't even imagine. He brought people into my life, gave me a new sense of purpose, and reminded me that I was never truly alone. So even if you don't feel Him right now, trust that God is there with you, walking this journey with you. You've got a divine backup. And that's something no one can take away from you. Now let's talk about the human side of things, because I know that sometimes, even though we know God's with us, we sometimes crave that human connection. Some need people around them who can hold them up when they're struggling. But here's the thing. Sometimes when we feel lonely, we close ourselves off from the very people who could help us. We build walls, thinking that's going to protect us. But all it does is isolate us even more. I know how easy it is to shut down when you feel like no one's got your back. You start thinking, why bother? No one's going to care anyway. But I'm here to tell you, you've got to reach out. Don't let pride or fear keep you isolated. There are people who want to be there for you, but they may not know how to approach you, especially if you've been shutting them out. You don't have to carry everything on your own, man. And let me say this, if you're thinking, regular day, I don't have anyone, I hear you. But there are ways to find community even when it feels like you're starting from scratch. Look for groups in your church, online communities, or even support groups in your area. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable and let people in. You'll be surprised by how many others are going through similar situations and can relate to your struggle. Here's the truth. Healing from loneliness isn't about waiting for someone to come and rescue you. It's about taking action, even when it feels hard. One of the most hardest but most important things you can do when you're feeling alone is to take that first step toward connection. It could be as simple as sending a text to someone you haven't talked to in a while, or even reaching out to someone in a community group who's going through something similar. One of the biggest breakthroughs in my life came when I stopped waiting for someone to find me and I started to step out of my comfort zone and started sharing my story and opening up. Now, you know I can't end this episode without giving you a challenge for the week ahead. I want you to reach out to one person, just one. It could be someone you haven't talked to in a while, or maybe someone new, but I want you to take that first step towards connection. I also want you to spend 10 minutes each day in prayer or quiet reflection. In that time, remind yourself that God's got your back, and that you're not alone, and that there is purpose in your life. Write down what you're feeling, and if you feel led, share it with someone. This week is about connection, both with God and with others. and I promise you'll be amazed on how much lighter your load feels when you take that step. To my listener, thank you for the question and I truly hope it helps you and other listeners who may be feeling this way. Loneliness is a heavy burden, but you don't have to carry it alone. God got you, and so do the people around you. If you let him in. As always, thank you for tuning in, and until next time, stay blessed, stay focused, and keep walking in your purpose. See you next time.
