Hello everybody.

Welcome to Real Talk With Reginald D. So glad you can stop by to hang out with me for a minute. Let's talk about life. What is life? Life is the existence of an individual human being. It is the period between the day you were born and the day you die. Life is made up of a lot of things. Life brings happiness. Life brings joy. Life brings peace. Life brings pain. Life brings heartache. Life brings grief. Life is made up of a whole lot of different emotions. Now your duty for your life is to control all these different emotions that comes up within your life. You can't let your emotions run wild in your life. You will end up being a wreck. You have to control your emotions in life.

Life is meant to be lived. The simplest meaning of life is to enjoy and live every moment of your life as happy as you know how. Don't waste your time trying to find the meaning of life. Just focus on your purpose and what brings you passion and then live it out. If you do that, then the answers will come automatically. In this thing called life, you have to appreciate both big and small moments. Because each moment, no matter how big or small, comes with a lesson -- you have to learn from your moments if you want to conquer this thing called life.

As you progress in life, you have to realize that time is the most fragile thing in the world. You have to be careful how you utilize it. You are not going to be here forever. So in this thing called life, you have to be the most impactful and live the most impactful life you can live. Listen, you were created, God took the time to create you. He did not create you to prove that he could do it. He created you for one specific reason. There is something that your life is meant to do and meant to be. God said, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart. And then he said, I appointed you. You have to realize your life has an assignment from the day you were born. You already have a purpose that is assigned to you. Now you may ask yourself the question, how do I know what my assignment is? How can I figure this out? I'm going to tell you how. Try to do everything right. Treat people right. Show love. Have a forgiven heart. Do what you are passionate about. Make your life fun and as happy as it can be. The happier you are, the more creative your mind will be. Happiness releases creativity. Your passion and your creativity will show you your assignment. It will show you your purpose.

Do not live your life being angry. Let things go. I know it hurt you, but you got to let it go. You have to forgive in order for your life to move forward. Do not allow anger to dwell in your life. It will stop your life dead in its tracks and you will never live the life you are created to live.

Check this out. What do kids do when they get angry and start pouting? They pout in one spot. As long as they are angry, they won't move out of that spot. Once they get over it, then they will start moving around again. Anger will keep your life in one place. Your life can't afford it. You have to realize that your life matters. You have to be committed to it. Your life deserves commitment from you. You have to commit on making your life happy. You have to commit on making your life successful. And you have to commit on making your life as impactful as it can be.

Life is designed to be amazing. But unfortunately, people don't understand that part about life. Just because your life is not where you think it should be, doesn't mean it can't be. Your life was designed for a purpose. Your life is designed to be great. You just got to get it there. Your life is already designed. Look at it this way. If you go to the car dealership, the car is already designed and the car is already made. You just got to drive it and take it to the places you want to go and to the places you need to go. That's the same thing about life. You have to drive it and take it where you want it to go. You would be amazed at what you can accomplish if you take control of this thing called life. Live a life that's full of energy and don't worry about how people are going to receive your energy. Anything you do or say gets filtered through the lens of whatever they are going through at that moment, which is not about you. Just keep living your life with as much integrity and love as possible.

Now you have to be careful with this thing called life because it presents fear at times. A lot of people's lives don’t meet its full potential because of fear. People fear taking risks in their lives. But the fact of the matter is that you take risks every day. You get in your car and you drive to and from work every day. There are so many things that can happen between point A and point B. You have to take that risk every day because it's a major part of your life. It's okay to take risks and have fear at the same time. You just have to make sure that the risk you take makes sense. What if I told you that I'm going to quit my career and go sell snow cones in Alaska? That don't make no sense, right? Make sure the risk you take makes sense. If it excites you and scares you at the same time, it probably means you should do it now. You have to remember in life you have to set goals. You have to realize that reaching a goal can get difficult at times. But don't decrease the goal. Increase the effort.

Life is designed to keep moving. It's not designed to stay in one place in life. The price of doing the same old thing is far higher than the price of change. See, I was in a place one time in my life and I felt like my life wasn't going anywhere. I went and I talked with my grandfather, who was also my mentor. I told him how I was feeling. He looked at me and asked me what I wanted to be. I told him I wanted to be a narcotics officer or a lawyer. He looked at me and said, first of all, quit trying to be a title or a career and start being a leader. He told me to be a leader wherever I go in life, and then I would see my life change. He was so right. My life changed after I did that. You have to display leadership in every aspect in this thing called life. You need to utilize the value of your life. The major value of life is not what you get, it's what you become. The value of life is measured by how much of it is given away. The value of life is not in its duration, but the value is in its donation. Make sure you use your life to help and bless somebody. That's the major part of this thing called life.

I'm going to leave you with this, value your life, understand your worth and appreciate your blessings. That's all I have for today.
