Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D. On today's episode, I'm going to talk about you versus you. Let's go. The biggest challenges that people face with today, it's not a job, it's not money, it's not success or any of that. The biggest challenge that people face is themselves, you versus you. They talk themselves out of everything they really want just because it's going to take more effort than what they're willing to put in. So you're not where you are right now in your life because of coincidence. You are where you are because of the level of effort that you put in. One part of you know what you want for your life. You know how successful you want to be. But the other side of you is saying, I don't have time. I don't feel like it. See, it's you versus you. I need you to understand that it's days you don't want to go to work, but you do. It's days that you don't feel like it, but you do it anyway. You mean to tell me that you're going to put more effort in a job or a company you don't own more than you're going to put in yourself? You need to learn to put more trust in the things that you can trust. That job can leave you tomorrow. But guess what? You're not going to leave yourself. No matter what you do, no matter what happens, you still got you. You still got a chance to be the greatest and successful person you can be. At the end of the day, it's you versus you. It's not you versus them. You make up your mind on what you want for your life. Stop being mentally all over the place. You're going to just drive yourself crazy. It's simple. What do you want for your life? Bottom line, that's it. Once you figure out what you want, then put all your effort into going after it and getting it. You got to earn it. What really gets me when it comes to some people, they want you to give them something that they didn't earn. They want you to put them in a place that they didn't earn. See, those are the people that will break as soon as a challenge or unexpected situation rises in their life. See, the reason I can't be broken easily is because I've earned everything I have accomplished. I worked for it. I fought for it. And it's mine. And it's hard for somebody or something to take what's yours that you earned. You will never get what you want in life until you quit talking to you and start doing you. The more you keep talking to the other you, the more confused you're going to be. You got to know what you want and believe that you can do it. It's just you versus you. The decisions you make for your life right now is up to you. What are you deciding? What are you going to decide that you want to be the best at what you do? That's the most powerful thing that you can do. Let me ask you a question. What if you walked in a room with 500 people wanting the same thing that you want? Would you doubt yourself and don't believe that you can achieve it because of the other people, because of the competition, or would you believe that you will achieve more than all 500 people in the room? It's all about what you believe about yourself. It's you versus you. You versus you is the greatest battle that you will ever fight. You're the only thing that's standing in your way to your success. Get out of the way and let you be you, man. Allow yourself to be what you're created to be. One of the biggest things that people face when it comes to you against you is laziness. They for some reason won't put in the effort to be what they see. I need you to understand that you need to execute on what you say you're going to do. There's no excuse for you not to live up to your fullest potential. No excuse. No excuse whatsoever. So quit giving yourself excuses. Your desires can't digest your excuses. It's time for you to quit talking yourself out of what you want for your life. You will never know what you're made of until you walk into what you're capable of. The fear that you fear is nothing but you. You keep telling yourself you can't do it. You keep telling yourself that you can't get it done. One side of you know what you want, and the other side of you is telling you that you're not capable of achieving it. See, it's just you versus you. This is one of the things I want to get through to you. No matter what you're going through, as long as you're still alive, you're still in the game. You can still win. You just got to get up and get it done and be consistent with it. Do you know that most millionaires and successful people have one thing in common? They have a routine. The same routine every day when they wake up. So you have to have a routine that works for you every single day in order to achieve your success and maintain your success. Here's another thing that you got to quit doing. Quit letting people believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Your mom, your dad, your grandparents, or whoever should never believe in you more than you believe in yourself. At the end of the day, you are the one that's going to make it happen. So you're not who you're supposed to be because you're doing what other people want you to do. You will never become the whole version of you living your life like that. Be who you're supposed to be. You can't be somebody else. I need you to understand that it's time to wake up and go for what you want and quit waking up like it's an accident. You need to understand that it's time to quit talking yourself out of things. Never say it can't get done. If you want to be successful, never say it can't get done. Leave that to the unsuccessful people to say. See, the reason you haven't accomplished what you want for your life is because you love something too much. You love sleep too much. You love TV too much. You love the phone too much. You got to learn how to sacrifice what you love in order to achieve what you want for your life. It's as simple as that. When you're not working, you need to be working on your craft. That's how you get better. No matter how much you accomplish, never be satisfied in your achievements. You need to quit reminding yourself of all the bad times and all the struggles you got. Everybody has bad times. Everybody has struggles. but you can't sacrifice your good moments because of them. Quit dwelling on what didn't happen in your life and start dwelling on what could and will happen in your life. Again, it's you versus you. Be careful of what you do because what you do becomes who you are. If you don't like where you're at, guess what? Do something different with your life. You probably don't know this, but the most expensive thing you got is not a house, a car, or none of that. The most expensive thing you got is you and yours. Like for me, the most expensive thing I got is my relationship with God, my peace, my health, my purpose, and my wife and family. There's not enough money in the world that you can give me in exchange for either of those things because everything that I just mentioned has made me what I am today. Money didn't. It's time for you to have faith in yourself. And if you put the work in behind your faith, then you definitely won't lose. There are people out there right now who will tell you that you can't. Do yourself a favor. Prove them wrong. That's all you got to do. I know you might not be where you want to be, but I know in my heart that you would get there. I'm going to lead you with this. Keep believing in you and stop doubting. Stop doubting the one person that's going to make it happen in your life. And that's you. Understand your effort has to be stronger than your doubts. You have your own shoes to walk in, so you got to do what's best for you. Remember, it's you versus you. It always has been, and it always will be. It's you against you. Make sure the real you win.
