Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D.

On today's episode, I'm going to talk about you're not perfect, but you're chosen.

Let's talk about perfection.

Perfection is a state,

quality or instance of being flawless, complete or supreme in excellence.

Don't you know that trying to be perfect has destroyed a lot of people and made them give up on their dreams simply because they can't forgive themselves for making a mistake?

I was like that at one point in my life.

I will be so hard on myself if I failed at something.

It would bother me so bad that I didn't talk to people.

I didn't want to communicate with nobody if I can help them. But one day I realized that I was not put here on this earth to be perfect.

I'm here because I was chosen.

See, I need you to stop being so hard on yourself.

You're not perfect, but you're chosen.

Think about that.

With all your flaws and your insecurities,

God still chose you.

He knew you wasn't perfect when he gave you the vision,

but he chose you anyway.

I need you to know that your flaws does not disqualify you from greatness.

This is where so many people get it twisted.

They think that they have to have everything all together in order to pursue and walk in their purpose.

Walking in your purpose don't have anything to do with being perfect.

It has everything to do with being willing.

God honors the willing heart.

I need you to understand this.

You're not perfect, but you're chosen.

You need to put that in your heart and your mind every day.

Because on your worst days, when things are not going right and you begin to start doubting yourself,

you got to know you were chosen for a reason that's greater than your doubts.

And I need you to quit thinking you have to be perfect.

When God gives you an idea,

if he gives you a business idea and you don't pursue it until you're perfect,

guess what? You will never pursue it because you will never be perfect.

When God gives you a business idea,

he will bless you with whatever else you need to be successful.

You just got to pursue it.

All the struggles I have in my life,

all the hardships I've been through, is living proof that I am chosen.

My situations didn't break me when all reality, it should have.

You are still here for a reason.

Everything you've been through,

you came through,

all because you're chosen.

There's never going to be a perfect timing when it comes to pursuing your dreams. And desires and start asking yourself,

what if I fail at this?

Let me ask you this.

What if it changes everything?

Stop worrying about failing and start worrying about winning.

You can't wait up 12 months from now and still be in the same place. Man,

you watching everybody else build their life while you sitting there worried about being perfect.

Stop worrying about being perfect and start acting like you are chosen.

When you are unsure,

you still got to make a decision right?

But you got to understand that one decision could change your life for the better.

There's no perfection.

You just have to show up as your true self.

And I need you to know that progress is connected to a chosen life,

not profession.

Let me tell you this.

You are not a mistake.

You are a chosen masterpiece in progress.

You are not perfect, but you are chosen for this journey.

And I need you to know you have grace,

acceptance and purpose despite of your flaws.

God knows I'm not perfect,

but I just try to do what I think is right in each moment.

What if you try to sing one more time instead of giving up on your dreams,

what if you try to pursue it one more time?

There's a great chance that you will pull it off.

Let me tell you this about me.

For years I struggled with being a secret.

I thought the best speaker had to talk properly.

And here I am with the strong Southern accent,

this country boy that don't pronounce all his words right.

I get it.

But when I stopped being intimidated by it and embrace who I really was,

that's when things changed.

Now the Southern accent is reaching people globally.

This country boy that don't pronounce some things right is now changing lives through his speaking.

It's all because I quit trying to be perfect and started acting like I was chosen.

That's real talk.

See, in life, you got to start strong and finish strong.

You got to keep riding.

You got to ride through pain.

You got to ride through the glory.

I need you to understand this.

Be true to yourself.

Don't pretend to be someone you're not just to fit in.

Remember, you are chosen.

Make sure your actions and your words come from a sincere place.

Even though you mean what you mean and you want what you want.

I need you to know that the things that gives you power in life is your unique experiences,

your mistakes,

and the lessons you've learned throughout life.

I need you to understand you cannot be replaced. You are chosen.

No one else can live your life. Choose.

No one else can do it better than you.

Because you're chosen.

You just don't have purpose.

You have purpose with power because you're chosen.

Remember, you're not perfect,

but you're chosen.

People will try to tell you your story and don't know anything about the first chapter of your life.

You are chosen.

It's time for you to write your own destiny.

You are a limited edition.

There is only one version of you and the world is waiting on you.
